Turkish Airlines Occupies 3rd Place In World In Terms Of International Passenger Transportation

The General Director of Turkish Airlines (Thy) Bilal Ekhi in his message on the social network cited data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

Ekshi in his publication noted: “Thy is flying high. To be 3rd in the world is not so little. Thy takes 3rd place in the world in terms of international passenger transportation and the share of freight transportation markets. In 2012, we occupied 13th place in passengers and 26th in cargo, and now we are in the 3rd place. We are proud of our country.”

According to IATA, Thy is occupied by the third place in the world and the first in Europe among “network airlines” with a share of the international passenger market of 3.4 percent in 2024.

The subsidiary of Thy Turkish Cargo also took third place in the world with a market share of 5.7 percent.
