The growth of technological capabilities around the world activates research in various fields: from the treatment of diseases of the brain and nervous system to patient care. Projects of this kind will be provided with financial support in the amount of up to 225 thousand euros through the Council for Scientific and Technical Research by Turkey (Tübi̇tak).
According to the information received by an anadol correspondent, in the framework of the “Joint Program for the Studies of Neurodegenerative Diseases (JPND), conducted in Europe in order to maintain healthy aging, an invitation to participate in new projects was made.
as part of the program, it is planned to study methods that will expand the possibilities of treating neurodegenerative diseases and increase the effectiveness of associated studies.
This year, priority will be given to projects related to health and social assistance, especially those that are aimed at the middle and later stages of diseases of this kind.
Design proposals in the framework of participation are associated with such diseases as dementia, Alzheimer and Parkinson, aircraft diseases, diseases of motor neurons, Huntington’s disease, spinocheaster ataxia, spinal muscle atrophy (SMA), etc.
In addition, special attention will be paid to projects that will improve the quality of patient care.
, within the framework of the program, it is planned to investigate various types of dementia and present the results that will improve the quality of patient care, offer various solutions for placement and develop alternative methods for nursing and villages for people with dementia.
The project consortium should be formed in such a way that coordinators from at least 3 and no more than 6 countries enter it. The duration of projects will be a maximum of 3 years.
Higher educational institutions, educational and research hospitals, state institutions and organizations, as well as companies that are residents of Turkey, are allowed to participate in this initiative.
Support for the design proposals submitted as part of participation with the Turkish side will provide Tübi̇tak.
To implement projects with the participation of partners from Turkey, it is necessary to submit applications both to the call secretariat and in Tübi̇tak. Applications for national projects can be submitted only using electronic signatures through a system for submitting applications for projects. The deadline for submitting proposals to the call secretariat is March 4, and for filing in Tübi̇tak – March 12. Project implementation will begin in 2026.
