Turkish Armed Forces destroyed 13 goals of terrorists in north of Iraq

The Ministry of National Defense of Turkey announced the destruction of 13 targets during an air operation in the north of Iraq.

The ministry’s statement says that on December 11 at 17.00, in accordance with the right to self -defense arising from Article 51 of the UN Charter, an air operation was carried out against terrorist organizations in the areas of Gara, Metin, Hakurk and Kandil in the north of Iraq.

“In order to prevent terrorist attacks on our people and security forces from the north of Iraq by neutralizing the RSC/KSK and other terrorist elements and ensuring the safety of our borders in accordance with the right to self -defense arising from Article 51 of the UN Charter, in the Khakakuk area on North of Iraq on December 11, 2023 at 17.00 local time, an air operation was carried out against the goals of terrorists, ”the Ministry of Defense said in a statement.

It is noted that the result of air strikes destroyed 13 objects consisting of caves, shelters, bunkers, shelters and warehouses used by a separatist terrorist organization in which high -ranking members of these organizations were allegedly hidden.

“During the operations performed, a large number of terrorists were neutralized, while domestic and national ammunition were maximally used. The fight against terrorism will continue until a single terrorist remains in this geography,” the department said.
