The Ministry of National Defense of Turkey announced a successful air operation in the north of Iraq and Syria. During the operation, 32 objects belonging to terrorist organizations, including PKK/KCK, were destroyed and a large number of terrorists were neutralized.
As noted in the official statement, the operation was carried out on October 23 as part of the right to self -defense, enshrined in Article 51 of the UN Charter. The purpose of the operation was to neutralize terrorist threats and ensure the security of the borders of Turkey.
During the operation, mainly domestic ammunition were used. The Turkish military department emphasized that the operations would continue until the terrorist threat is completely destroyed.
The statement also emphasizes that during the operation, all necessary measures were taken to prevent damage to the civilian population, historical and cultural values.
