The Turkish army for the first time entered the warfare systems with small -sized unmanned aerial vehicles (mini and micro UAVs) “Shahin” (şahi̇n 40 MM), said the head of the Office of Turkey, Ismail Demir on Twitter.
According to him, the complex is characterized by the simplicity of transportation, deployment and installation. The system is located on a towed trailer and has a modular design. He noted that Shahin systems can be successfully involved in the protection of especially important objects, state borders, as well as in the field of air defense.
In addition, Shahin has a function of ballistic calculation in relation to the goal. He is also able to track the target, focusing on the position transmitted from the radar.
