Turkish Athlete Won 3 Gold Medals In International Swimming Tournament In Ice Water

The Turkish athlete Bengis Avji won three gold medals in the international swimming tournament in ice water with the participation of 256 athletes from 19 countries, which took place in extreme conditions – in the water temperature below 5 degrees.

Representatives of the athlete reported that on the first day of Avji’s competition, Avji became the best at a distance of 1000 meters. On the second day, she again climbed to the upper step of the pedestal, defeating in a swim of 100 meters by Brass. In addition, in the 4×50 meters relay, Bengis, along with the egors Tropoano, Ire Damar and Berker Göker, went around the rivals and brought the team another gold medal.

In her statement, Bengis Avji noted that this championship was a serious test for her.

“After training in the warm waters of the Aegean and Marble Seas, competitions in the icy water of Europe were extremely difficult. To adapt to such conditions, we conducted an intensive training collection in Chanaccal, where we trained our bodies for swimming in extremely low temperatures,” emphasized She.

The athlete also added that the achieved results are optimistic before the World Cup in Ice Water, which will be held in January in the Italian city of Molveno.
