The Turkish bank Fibabanka forbade customers – to citizens of Russia and Belarus – the use of their bank cards outside Turkey. This was announced in social networks by one of the participants in the Russian -speaking group in Alanya.
The Russian woman used a debit card of the bank abroad for several months. On December 6, the card was unexpectedly not accepted in the airport terminal. In response to her complaint in the mobile application, the answer came: “In accordance with the policy of the bank, debit cards belonging to Russian and Belarusian citizens are blocked for transactions in foreign countries. You can use your debit card for transactions in Turkey.”
At the same time, some users report that other Turkish banks, in particular, Isbank and Ziraat Bank, did not introduce such restrictions.
