Turkish Company Will Build Fertilizer Factory In Kazakhstan

A investment agreement will be signed between the Government of Kazakhstan and the Turkish company on the construction of a fertilizer production plant worth 1.3 billion dollars.

According to the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, in Astana a meeting was held by the Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov with the CEO of ESTA Construction Mustafoy Toprak.

The meeting discussed the issue of investment cooperation with the Turkish company.

Bektenov noted that the government attaches great importance to the development of the country’s agro -industrial complex.

noting that they harvested a record crop in 2024 and allocated 700 billion tenge to support farmers, the prime minister said: “It is very important for us to provide high -quality and affordable mineral fertilizers. Therefore, your project is of interest to us both in terms of export and satisfaction of internal demand.”

According to the results of the meeting, Bektenov instructed the competent state bodies within two weeks to sign an investment agreement with the company on the construction of a fertilizer production plant.

In accordance with the agreement, the Turkish company will build a fertilizer production plant in the Kuryk port area on the Caspian coast of Kazakhstan with an investment volume of $ 1.3 billion. It is expected that a plant that will produce up to 700 thousand tons of carbamide and 42 thousand tons of ammonia per year will reduce dependence on fertilizers and offer the agricultural sector of the country Products with high added value.

About 3 thousand employees will take part in the implementation of the project, and after the completion of the construction of the plant, 400 permanent jobs will be created.
