Turkish contractors in first half of year received orders for $ 7.5 billion abroad

Turkish construction companies in the first half of 2023 received orders abroad in the amount of $ 7.5 billion. This is evidenced by the data of the Ministry of Education of Turkey.

According to the agency, from 1972 to the end of June 2023, construction companies Turkey implemented 11,758 projects in 133 countries for a total of 480 billion 545 million 315 thousand dollars.

In 2020, despite the political instability and the pandemic of the new type of coronavirus in the world, Turkish contractors entered into agreements to implement 371 projects for $ 16.2 billion.

In 2021, despite the ongoing negative consequences of the pandemia, agreements were concluded for 443 draft $ 30.7 billion.

Construction sphere in 2022 also survived global economic problems in connection with the outbreak of war between the Russian Federation and Ukraine. However, Turkish companies concluded 492 agreements for $ 19.1 billion over the past year. The average cost of the project last year was 38.8 percent.

In the first half of 2023, Turkish contractors entered into an agreement on 110 projects in foreign countries. The total cost of projects amounted to 7 billion 498 million 146 thousand dollars. The average cost of each project was $ 68.1 million.

Since 1972, the largest number of projects have been implemented in the Russian Federation, the share of the Russian market amounted to $ 97.9 billion.

The second place is taken by Turkmenistan, 10.6 percent. The cost of projects amounted to 50.8 billion dollars. Following is Iraq – 6.9 percent or 33.1 billion dollars, Libya – $ 30.2 billion and Kazakhstan – $ 27.9.

The countries of the Middle East also occupy an important place.

Turkish construction companies to this day implemented projects for the construction of shopping centers for $ 34.7 billion, airports for $ 30.7 billion.
