Turkish Defense Industry Develops Combat Robots Dogs

Battle robots, developed by the efforts of the Turkish defense industry, are preparing for service.

Against the backdrop of the rapid development of technology around the world, the role of robots in the conduct of hostilities has increased. Robots equipped with systems supporting artificial intelligence, powerful equipment and the possibility of autonomous movement perform the most important functions in combat conditions. Their tasks are not only in ensuring logistics and intelligence, but also in direct participation in hostilities.

Today, combat robots occupy an increasingly important place in the strategic plans of many countries and defense companies. The use of unmanned systems to minimize human losses forms a new paradigm in military strategies. Türkiye also accelerates its steps in this technological transformation, conducting research on the effective use of combat robots.

During operations with a high level of risk, combat robots help military units achieve their goals, minimizing human sacrifices. Performing patrol functions, robots analyze the elements of the threat and, if necessary, can directly intervene in the course of events. First of all, this applies to the district located near the front line.

Thus, combat robots have a significant impact on the military strategy.

One example of the application of this technology in Turkey was the development created during the cooperation of Quad Robotics and Savhatek. On robots dogs, a remotely controlled and equipped with a light weapon, made by Savhatek. This design allows both intelligence and directly to attack targets. Such towers, capable of operating effectively in urban battles, give a significant advantage on the battlefield. Equipped with ammunition of 7.62 and 5.56 caliber, robot dogs have a firing range of up to 400 meters, and can also apply spotlights on targets from a distance of 25 to 600 meters.

After testing, a fighting boot dog will take part in Boran VI competitions, which will take place at the shooting range of the Turkish gendarmerie. A fighting robot dog will carry out demonstrative shooting along with snipers.

Thanks to the systems integrated into them, fighting robots can move effectively even in areas with complex relief and under adverse weather conditions.
