The Turkish defense industry diversify its export proposals with new unmanned aerial vehicles, expanding its presence in the world market.

The Turkish defense company BMS Savunma Teknolojiler Aivers (BMS Savunma) took third place in the BPL export competition held in Turkey last year, losing only to such well -known defense companies as Baykar and Tusaş.

One of the key factors of the success of the company in the export direction is AyBars -2 – an unmanned aerial vehicle with a fixed wing and a gasoline engine. He is able to be in the air from seven to eight hours. The span of the drone is 100 kilometers.

BMS Savunma also developed the Electric unmanned aerial vehicles Orhun and Göktuğ, which operate up to three hours within a radius of 50 kilometers.

The agency’s interlocutor emphasized that BMS Savunma has improved its software for UAVs due to its own capabilities. The share of domestic components in the software was increased to more than 60%.

Chilingir noted that the company receives 80% of its export income.

“We stand out among other companies of the sector, offering individual and personalized solutions, and increase our market diversity due to the specific products that meets the individual needs of our customers,” he said.

Bilal Ishyk, the chairman of the BMS Savunma board, in turn indicated that the company intends to focus on increasing exports in 2025, aiming at expanding its client base to 15 countries.

“We are currently negotiating with two African countries on a new export contract. We also make efforts to increase our production capacities, since in the second quarter of this year we plan to move to our new factory, uniting our headquarters and production capacities under one roof, ”he said.
