Turkey expresses concern about the frequent air attacks of the air-space forces of Russia in the province of Idlib in the north of Syria. This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Defense of the country Hulusi Akar on the Office page on Twitter.
“Recently, there has been a surge of air strikes of the Russian Federation in Idlib. We have already noted that this is contrary to the Memorandum of Understanding,” the Minister. According to him, negotiations are being underway about the contradictions arising between Moscow and Ankara.
Akar added that Turkey must preserve the presence in Idlib to ensure the safety of its southern borders, as well as to combat the growing flow of Syrian refugees. The Minister of Defense called the goal of the Turkish contingent in Syria “Ensuring Syrian Syrian Brothers”.
