Trade and economic ties between Turkey and Saudi Arabia continue to gain momentum. Along with the normalization of relations, the strategic location of both countries located at the intersection of Africa, Europe and Asia contributes to intensive trade interaction. This trend allows Turkish exporters to become reliable business partners of Saudi Arabia in many industries.
As Anadolo reports with reference to the Assembly of Turkish Exporters (TIM), the volume of Turkish exports to Saudi Arabia in the first half of the year reached 1 billion 113 million dollars. Whereas in the same period of 2022, Turkey exported products to this country in the amount of 131 million 394 thousand dollars.
Thus, Saudi Arabia became the second country where Turkey has increased its export in price terms.
The largest sales in Saudi Arabia in the first half of the current year was carried out by the Turkish carpet sector – 154 million 528 thousand dollars. The following are the products of the chemical industry – 112 million 987 thousand dollars, granical and oil cultures and related products – 109 million $ 87 million, 87 million $ 87 million, machine and equipment – 86 million 855 thousand dollars.
The largest increase in sales in Saudi Arabia in price terms falls on the sector of the carpet industry – 154 million 428 thousand dollars.
The growth of export of grain -combat and oilseeds and related products amounted to 105 million 61 thousand dollars, the finished clothing sector – 83 million 537 thousand dollars, machines and equipment – 74 million $ 546 thousand, Brona and non -ferrous metals sector – 73 million 626 thousand dollars.
At the same time, exports from Istanbul to Saudi Arabia amounted to 486 million 358 thousand dollars, from Gaziantep – 166 million 239 thousand dollars, from Ankara – 70 million $ 792 thousand, from Hatai – 60 million 627 thousand dollars and a burs – 44 million 597 thousand dollars;
