Turkish Exports In January Increased By 5.8%

Turkey exports in January 2025 amounted to $ 21.165 billion, which is 5.8% more compared to the same month last year. Import increased by 9.6% and reached $ 28.703 billion.

The Institute of Statistics of Turkey (Tüi̇k) and the Ministry of Trade published preliminary foreign trade data for January.

The trade deficit in January 2025 increased by 21.9% compared to last year and amounted to $ 7.538 billion.

The coefficient of import covering in January 2024 amounted to 76.4%, while in the previous month this figure was at the level of 73.7%.

External trade without taking into account energy and gold

Exports without taking into account energy and gold in January amounted to $ 19.508 billion, increasing by 5% compared to $ 18.576 billion in January 2023. Import without taking into account energy and non -nmonotary gold in January increased by 11.8%, reaching $ 20.845 billion.

Trading deficiency excluding energy products and non -monetary gold amounted to $ 1.336 billion.

The total volume of foreign trade increased by 8.4% and amounted to $ 40.353 billion. In January, the coefficient of coverage of imports export, without taking into account energy and gold, amounted to 93.6%.
