Turkey’s export to neighboring Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Iran, Iraq, Syria and Greece in 2024 increased by 7.4 percent compared to the previous year, reaching a record $ 34.2 billion. Such data are given by the Institute of Statistics of Turkey (Tüi̇k).
In addition, in 2024, Türkiye set a record for export in the history of the republic. Its volume amounted to $ 261.9 billion.
The leading position among neighboring countries in terms of the purchase of Turkish products in 2024 is occupied by Iraq ($ 13 billion). This is followed by Bulgaria ($ 5.2 billion), Greece ($ 4.8 billion) and Iran ($ 3.2 billion).
According to the results of 2024, export to Azerbaijan amounted to about 3.1 MRLD dollars, in Georgia – $ 2.7 billion, Syria – $ 2.2 billion.
According to Tüi̇k, the growth of Turkish exports last year was recorded in all neighboring countries, with the exception of Iran (reduction by 0.5 percent).
