The world record holder for fridival (underwater swimming with breath holding), Turkhules Erken, Turkishka, is preparing to beat the world record of maximum immersion for ice without scuba gear.
The athlete plans to immerse without a scuba gear in Lake Todüurga in the province of Sivas in northern Turkey.
Fridiver conducts intense training on the lake. During one of the training, Erken received an easy injury in the face and is currently undergoing a course of treatment.
According to Birgul, earlier she planned to make a record immersion in Finland. However, then she still decided to beat the record on Lake Todüurga in order to popularize the natural beauties of Turkey.
