Advisor to connections with the press and public of the Ministry of National Defense of Turkey, Rear Admiral Akturk at a press briefing, held in Ankara noted the historical importance of the 953rd anniversary of the Victory under Malazgirta, the 103rd anniversary of the battle of the Battle of Sakary and the 102nd anniversary Great offensive.
The general said that the Turkish armed forces continue their successful operations against terrorist organizations.
Akturk’s convicts further said: “Over the past week, the Turkish armed forces neutralized 38 terrorists. Thus, from January 1, the number of neutralized terrorists reached 1763, of which 868 in Northern Iraq and 895 in Northern Syria.”
