Since January 1 of this year, 2149 terrorists were neutralized, including 1113 militants in the north of Iraq and 1036 in the north of Syria. This was stated at a briefing by an adviser to relations with the press and public of the Ministry of National Defense of Turkey Rear Admiral Zeki Akturg.
He noted that over the past week 42 terrorist was neutralized, including in the north of Iraq and Syria.
In addition, a large number of weapons and ammunition, medicines and terrorist documentation were seized as part of the search measures carried out in the Pençe-Kielit and Pençe-Yıldır operation zones in the north of Iraq, the representative of the Ministry of Defense said.
Akturk also announced the continuation of efforts aimed at the speedy establishment of stability in Syria and ensuring the return of the Syrians to a safe environment.
