The Turkish company Havelsan presented its developments at the 8th International Naval Exhibition and Conference (Dimdex 2024) in Doha.
In an interview with Anadolu, Havelsan General Director Mehmet Akif Najar said that the company is taking part in the exhibition for the third time.
According to him, discussions were held as part of the event regarding previously completed projects and extending current contracts for maintenance and repair.
The company signed a contract for the maintenance of the helicopter simulator. Several meetings were also held regarding educational projects in Qatar. The event as a whole was productively productively, important meetings were held with representatives of different countries, ”said Havelsan CEO.
“We have been considering the future in Qatar with a positive. We have completed 10 years here. We believe that the possibilities in Qatar will be another 10 or 20 years. We have developed a good model here. This model sets an example for other companies. In particular, established We are giving a great return and is appreciated by us and is appreciated here. Our business with Qatar continues, although a little slowly, ”said the general director.
Najar noted that the Havelsan parachute simulator is one of the means that can be used in the Qatar training centers. “For us, it was a real advantage to demonstrate this product here, since it was exhibited at the stand where our own training center was located. There is the possibility of placing similar products,” said the general director.
He noted that as part of the landing boat, signed with DEARSAN, the Katar Navy will be supplied for the first time Advent.
