The number of passengers of cruise liners who arrived in Turkey in January -July of this year increased by 83.6 percent compared to the same period of 2022 – up to 692 thousand people. Such data are given by the Main Directorate for Marine Affairs under the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey.
According to the agency, the number of cruise liners who arrived in Turkish ports in July of this year increased by 28.3 percent compared to the same month of 2022 – up to 154. At the same time, the number of passengers of cruise liners who arrived in Turkey in this the same period, increased by 72.6 percent – up to 209 033 people.
The number of cruise liners who arrived in Turkish ports in seven months of the year increased by 31.4 percent to 574.
The largest number of cruise liners was accepted by the Turkish port of Kushadasy. For seven months of this year, 264 vessels arrived in the port with 372,831 passenger on board. The TOP-5 Turkish ports, who took the largest number of cruise ships and passengers, also include Istanbul, Czechma, Bodrum and Chanaccale.
