Turkish President Discussed Situation In Syria With Colleague From France

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a telephone conversation with a colleague from France Emmanuel Macron.

As the Office of Relations under the Administration of the President of Turkey, during the conversation of Erdogan and Macron discussed bilateral relations between Turkey and France, regional and global themes.

In particular, President Erdogan emphasized the importance of maintaining the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Syria and expressed satisfaction of the decision of the France to resume the work of the embassy in this Arab country.

Turkish President also announced the start of work on the return of Syrian refugees to the country and the need to cooperate the international community in order to create sustainable conditions for living Syrians and work to restore and revive the country.
