The Government of Armenia decided not to prolong the ban on the import of Turkish goods, the country’s Ministry of Economy reported on its Facebook page.
“Thanks to the embargo in Armenia, new production opened, and the current expanded. But it had a negative impact on inflation. However, the Ministry promises to support enterprises that began to replace Turkish imports,” the department says.
We note about the introduction of an embargo on the import of goods from Turkey in Armenia in October 2020 against the background of the war in Karabakh. The Government of Armenia decided to introduce a ban on the import of finished products of Turkish production from December 31.
