Turkish Ship With Humans For Somalians Reached Shores Of Mogadish

A ship with 3 thousand tons of humanitarian aid, aimed at eliminating the consequences of natural disasters and Extraordinary situations of Turkey (AFAD), reached the coast of Somalia.

According to Somali Emergency Management Agency (Sodma), a vessel with food, tents and hygiene products arrived in the capital of Mogadish.

The message notes that the official ceremony of transferring cargo from the Turkish side took place to Sodma.

The ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Somali Salah Ahmed Jama, Turkish Ambassador to Mogadishi Alper Aktash, head of Sodma Mokhmut Moallin Abdulle and other senior faces.

“In the main port of Mogadisho, a large ship with humanitarian aid from the Turkish government for the needy residents of Somalia was adopted,” the statement said.

At the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Salah Ahmed Jama expressed gratitude to the Turkish government.
