Turkish Tusaş concluded contract for supply of Malaysia 3 shock UAVs Anka

One of the leading defense companies in Turkey – the National Aerospace Company Tusaş concluded a contract for the supply of three Anka drums to Malaysia for a total of about 100 million dollars.

The company’s novelties are presented at the largest defense exhibition of the Asia-Pacific region Lima Langkawi 2023 in Malaysia.

As part of the exhibition, Tusaş signed a contract with the Ministry of Defense of Malaysia on the supply of Turkish drunken drones Anka. According to the contract, worth about $ 100 million, for two years, 3 units of Anka will be transferred to the armed forces of Malaysia.

Disruptions will be equipped with special radars with the possibility of satellite control developed for the needs of the Malaysia Air Force. The contract will be implemented within two years.

Deputy Head of the Board of Tusaş Omar Jihad Vardan told Anadolu, Malaysia and Turkey are fraternal countries whose bilateral ties are high.

According to him, Tusaş for many years continues to successfully promote its products in this region. “Negotiations on the contract have been conducted over the past 4-4.5 years. As a result, it was possible to reach an agreement on the supply of three units of ANKA UAV in the amount of about $ 100 million,” he said.

Vardan noted that since Malaysia is an island state, it needs to be weapons in the possibility of distant vision and long -term stay in the air.

“UAV ANKA meet all these requirements. The drones that will be put in Malaysia will be equipped with special radars. In this connection, the delivery time is long,” he said.

The International Exhibition of the Marine and Aerospace Industry was organized on the island of Langkavi for the 16th time with the support of the Ministry of Defense and Transport of Malaysia.

Lima is one of the largest defense exhibitions in the Asia-Pacific region, and is held every two years. The exhibition was first organized in 1991, and Turkey takes part in it for the second time.

Turkey at the exhibition, which takes place from May 23 to 27, represent 18 companies: Aselsan, ASFAT, Dearsan, Desan, Havelsan, Kalekalıp, Koç Defense, Meteksan Savunma, Mi̇lsoft, Makine Ve Kimya Endüstrisi Aş, Roketsan, Roometsan, Roometsan Sarsılmaz, STM , Tais, Tei, Türk Havacılık Ve Uzay Sanayii, Ti̇msan and Ti̇tra.
