Turkish weightlifter Kerem Kurnaz won gold at the championship held in the Raszyn Centrum sports hall in the capital of Poland, Warsaw, in the category of young men up to 89 kg.
Kurnaz raised 190 kg in a push and reached a total of 342 kg, which allowed him to take first place on the pedestal.
In a jerk, the athlete showed the result of 152 kg, which brought him fourth place.
The President of the Turkish Heavy Athletics Federation Talat UNLU congratulated Kerem Kurnaz, his coaches and the club on this achievement.
Given this victory, the total number of Turkey medals at the championship reached 34, of which 15 are gold, 11 – silver and 8 – bronze.
