Turkish weightlifter Bushra Chan won a bronze medal at the European Championship in the capital of Bulgaria, Sofia.
On the eighth day of the championship, Chan competed in a jerk in the weight category up to 87 kg and raised a bar with 100 kg.
In the competition in the push, the athlete raised 127 kg, winning a bronze medal. In the standings, the weightlifter took fifth place with a result of 227 kg.
In a jerk of a weightlifter from Norway, Amen Aman Ayle Solfried Koand, took first place with a result of 120 kg, Sophie Weishaard Ann Yensen -Second (107 kg), Ripsim Khurshudyan from Armenia – third place (105 kg).
In the push, Amen Ayla Solfried Koand took first place, raising 160 kg. The overall result of the athlete is 280 kg and three gold medals.
Anastasia Magnevskaya from Ukraine won two silver medals with a total result of 230 kg.
The third place in the standings was taken by Khurshudyan with a result of 227 kg.
On the account of Turkish weightlifters during participation in the championship, 22 medals (5 gold, 8 silver and 9 bronze).
On Wednesday, February 21, competitions among women in the weight category +87 kg will be held. The Turkish athletes Tuan Xuren and Fatmagul Chevik will fight for the medals.
