The EU Commissioner for the extension of Marta Kos spoke at a meeting of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the European Parliament (EP) in Brussels.
According to her, the EU highly appreciates what Turkey has done in the field of helping refugees, recalling that last year the EU decided to establish a more active dialogue with Turkey.
“In March and April, we plan to establish a dialogue with Turkey at a high level of economics,” she added.
The last meeting of the economic dialogue of a high level of Türkiye-Ees took place in Istanbul February 28, 2019.
On December 17, the Chairman of the EU Commission Ursula von der Lyain made one of the first foreign visits as part of its second term to Turkey and met with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. At a press conference held after the meeting, the main topic of which was events in Syria, the EU presented positive messages in the field of economics.
