Türkiye and Niger signed a protocol on the intent to cooperate in the field of oil and natural gas.

According to the statement of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkey, Minister Alparslan Bayrakrattar, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Minister of National Defense Yashar Guler held a number of negotiations in Niger.

At first, the ministers met with Niger Prime Minister Ali Mahaman Lamine Zeyna. After that, Minister Bayractar met with the minister of mining industry Niger Abarchi Usman, oil Minister Mahaman Mustafoi Barke and the Minister of Energy Amadu Haua.

Then the Turkish delegation was adopted by President Niger Abdurrahman Tchiana.

Minister of Bayractar from Turkey signed a “Declaration of intent to cooperation in the field of oil and natural gas” with Niger, which provides for cooperation in the field of oil and natural gas.

with the signing of the declaration, it is planned to expand the dialogue between the relevant institutions and companies of the two countries. In this context, the goal is to support and encourage Turkish companies in the development of oil and natural gas fields in Niger. The planned work will be carried out at a certain time.
