Türkiye and UN discussed situation in Cyprus and “grain corridor”

The chief adviser of the Turkish President, Akif Chagatai Kylych Ambassador to the Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations (UN) on political issues and peacekeeping operations by Miroslav Yenka.

According to the statement published on social networks, the President’s Communications Department, Kylych met with Jenka in the presidential complex.

During the meeting, a meeting of the UN General Assembly on the situation on Cyprus island and efforts to resume the “grain corridor” were discussed in the coming days. During the meeting, the ambassador Kylych emphasized the need to protect the legal rights of Turks-kipriots. He urged to put an end to an unfair approach to this problem.

During the meeting, an exchange of views on work on a “grain corridor” took place. The Deputy Secretary General of the UN Yenka expressed the gratitude of Turkey for her efforts in this matter.
