Turkey became the main trading partner of Georgia in the first half of 2023.
This is evidenced by the data of the National Statistical Service of Georgia.
The turnover between the two countries amounted to 1.4 million dollars, which is 12.4 percent more than the same indicator for 2022.
Russia is the second place among trading partners. The turnover of Georgia and Russia in January-June of the current year exceeded $ 1.2 billion, which is 75.7 percent more than last year’s indicator.
The third place was taken by the United States, the trade turnover with it exceeded $ 820 million, which is 38.6 percent more than the data for the same period last year.
The total foreign trade turnover of Georgia in the first half of this year amounted to more than 10.2 billion dollars (an increase of 20.1 percent in annual terms). The export amounted to more than $ 3 billion (an increase of 19.3 percent), and imports – more than 7.2 billion dollars (height of $ 20.4).
