Turkish exports reached a record maximum in 2023 – $ 255.8 billion, the Ministry of Trade reports.
It is noted that in 2002, the share of world exports was 0.55 percent, and in 2022 this share increased to 1.02 percent and at the end of September 2023 – 1.06 percent.
The number of exporting companies, which was 31,855 in 2002, increased by 339 percent to 139,830 in 2023. The number of companies that first participated in export last year amounted to 38,574, and the contribution of these companies to the total export amounted to $ 6.6 billion.
The department noted that 12,886 types of products were delivered to more than 240 countries and customs regions, and in 70 of these countries the highest exports were implemented in history.
emphasizes that Turkey exports to the EU increased by 1.2 percent compared to the previous year, reaching $ 104.3 billion in 2023.
The volume of exports to the regions of the Near and Middle East, where trade and economic relations have recently intensified, last year increased by 2.2 percent and amounted to $ 46.2 billion.
The Ministry of Trade noted that export to the Turkic republics reached $ 10.2 billion with an increase of 26.9 percent last year and broke a historical record.
In addition, the volume of exports to the member countries of Islamic cooperation (OIS) reached $ 67.3 billion with an increase of 3.68 percent last year.
