Over the past two decades, 7 billion seedlings and seeds have been planted in Turkey.
This is stated in the appeal of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the occasion of World Day of the fight against desertification and drought, which is annually celebrated on June 17th.
According to him, the country’s authorities will continue to make active efforts aimed at “leaving future generations more suitable for life in Turkey.”
The head of state expressed the hope that World Day of the Struggle against desertification and drought will contribute to the fight against this phenomenon.
