The Turkish Agency for Cooperation and Coordination (TİKA) opened a laboratory in the field of mushroom biotechnologies in Pakistan.
According to the TİKA representative office, the opening ceremony of the laboratory took place in the city of Muzaffarabad – the administrative center of the Pakistani part of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
The head of the TİKA Department for East and South Asia, the Pacific region and Latin America Dursun Ali Yashajan, the TİKA office in Islamabad, Mukhsin Baldzhi, agricultural Minister Azad Jamma and Kashmir Mir Ekber Khan, and the Minister of Agricultural Khan, took part in the opening ceremony of the laboratory. farms, officials and many farmers.
Speaking at the ceremony, Dursun Ali Yashajan drew attention to the contribution of the Turkish agency to the production spheres of the region, and also noted the economic and social benefits of the project.
The buildup of the technical potential, the production of mushroom cultures and the conduct of training measures will increase the awareness of farmers to grow these biological organisms, he said.
The Minister of Agriculture of the state Azad Jammu and Kashmir Serdar Mir Ekbar Khan, in turn, said that the cool climate of the region and organic soil is ideal for growing mushrooms.
The laboratory opened by the Turkish agency will provide the local population with knowledge and skills in growing mushrooms, ”he said.
