In Turkey, it is planned to create an enterprise for the production of superconducting chips, which will become a significant step towards increasing the country’s potential in the field of quantum technologies.
This was stated by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan speaking at the awards of the Prizes of the Turkish Academy of Sciences (Tüba) and the Turkish Council for Scientific and Technological Research (Tübi̇tak) in Ankara.
“through a significant step taken in the field of quantum computer technology, Türkiye intends to reach a strategically important position in global competition,” he said.
According to the president, the future factory for the production of superconducting chips will lay the way to develop quantum computers with higher performance
“The purpose of Turkey is one of the 15 leading countries in the field of quantum calculations,” said the Turkish leader.
The politician noted that Turkey’s scientific successes are achieved thanks to significant investments in education and research infrastructure.
President Erdogan also emphasized the growing geopolitical influence of Turkey and its role as a stabilizing force in the region. “Events in Syria remind us that Türkiye is more than Türkiye itself. We cannot limit our horizon 782 thousand square kilometers,” said Erdogan.
The Head of State called the diplomatic, military and humanitarian efforts of the country as an example of Turkey’s leadership in solving regional and global problems.
