Turkey evacuated all personnel, including security officers, from the embassy in Hartum. This was announced on Tuesday by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Mevlut Chavushol on Tuesday in Antalya.
According to the minister, the evacuation was carried out within the framework of one operation, the support of which was the command of the Sudan Superior.
Chavushoglu noted that the military situation in the African country is preserved. “We managed to evacuate the staff of the diplomatic mission, including the guard. This happened with the support of [the chairman of the sovereign council of Sudan Abdel Fattah] Al -Burkhan and the army, because the battles covered the streets of the cities. I do not wish a single country of such a situation,” said Minister.
According to Chavushoglu, if Turkey had not intervened in the situation in Libya, then the Libyan capital of Tripoli would have resembled today’s Hartum.
“Turkey makes efforts to complete the battles in Sudan,” the minister added.
