The volume of Turkish foreign trade in the national currency in January-June of this year reached 349 billion 488 million Turkish lires, which is 129.3 percent more than the first half of 2022. Such data are given by Anadolu with reference to the Ministry of Trade of Turkey.
According to the Ministry of Trade, the total volume of Turkish exports in June of this year decreased by 14.1 percent – to 47 billion $ 198 million. At the same time, in general, for January-June of the current year, the export of the country increased amounted to 308 billion 172 million dollars (1.7 percent more than the same period of 2022).
In parallel with an increase in the volume of foreign trade, there has been a tendency to increase calculations in the Turkish lyre.
So, the volume of exports in the national currency in January amounted to 14 billion 745 million lire, in February – 13 billion 863 million lire, in March – 18 billion 49 million lires, in April – 14 billion 611 million lires, in May – 16 billion 331 million lire.
The volume of imports in the national currency in January amounted to 30 billion 738 million, in February – 40 billion 364 million lire, in March – 45 billion 755 million lire, in April – 43 billion 423 million lires, in May – 49 billion 479 million lire .
