Turkey took first place in Europe and entered the top ten countries of the world with an agricultural production volume of $ 68.5 billion in 2023. This was announced by the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry of Turkey Ibrahim Yumakla.
In his publication on the social network, Yumakla said that farmers continue to contribute to the development of the Turkish economy.
The Minister, referring to the data of the Food and Agricultural Organization of the UN (FAO) and the World Bank, noted: “Turkey in 2023 took first place in Europe and entered the top ten countries with the volume of agricultural production $ 68.5 billion. I sincerely congratulate all representatives of the sector that contributed to this success. “
The aforementioned report of the Minister also states that in 2023 Turkey reached 16 percent growth of agricultural production volumes compared to the previous year.
