The Turkish Agency for Cooperation and Coordination (TİKA) provided food assistance to 1500 low -income families in various corners of Pakistan on the occasion of the Holy month of Ramazan.
As reported in TİKA, the Pakistani Bait-ul-Mal charitable organization (PBM) transferred food bags for the subsequent distribution among needy families in the cities of Ravalpindy and the Penjab province, as well as the village of Haiber-Pakhtunhwi province.
Speaking at the solemn ceremony organized on this occasion, the Turkish Ambassador to Islamabad Irfan Naziroglu pointed to the strong bonds of friendship between Ankara and Islamabad.
The head of the diplomatic mission attracted attention to the fact that over 15 years Ti̇ka has implemented about 700 projects in Pakistan.
According to the ambassador, the Turkish agency not only provides food assistance to the Pacistan to the population, but also implements initiatives aimed at ensuring the economic independence of women in the country.
PBM CEO Shahin Khalid Butt, in turn, said that Pakistan is always very appreciated by the help provided by Turkey and consider it a certificate of deep friendship between the two countries.
