Türkiye successfully develops satellite technologies

Recently approved by the relevant bodies of Turkey, satellites ̇mece -2 and ̇mece -3 will expand the country’s capabilities to conduct satellite shooting, and will also allow continuous observation at any point in the world.

This was in an interview with the Anadola agency said the chairman of the Council for Scientific and Technical Research by Turkey (Tübi̇tak) Hassan Mandal.

According to him, the devices will be commissioned in 2027 and 2028, respectively.

He noted that the new satellites will strengthen the country’s potential in the field of security, reconnaissance and use of this type for civilian purposes, since they will allow you to receive satellite images with high resolution, which is twice the same parameters of the previous satellite of this series – ̇mece -1.

He recalled that earlier Türkiye launched the first domestic communication satellite Türksat 6A. “Now it is necessary to continue efforts in the field of satellites of a smaller scale,” said the mandala.

According to him, against the backdrop of the rapid development of 5G technologies, and even 6G, there is a need to transmit signals through small -sized satellites.

The head of Tübi̇tak indicated that Turkey is part of the ten leading countries in the field of communication and observation satellites.

The mandala added that the infrastructure built by the Turkish aerospace company Tusaş is endowed with opportunities that only a few countries have.

“Until now, Turkey has satisfied its needs in the field of satellites. Our next goal is to enter the level of export of satellite services, since we are able to develop satellites due to our own capabilities,” he said.
