Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a telephone conversation with President Somalia Hassan Sheikh Mahmud.
According to the statement of the Communications Department of the President of Turkey, during the conversation, relations between Turkey and Somalia, tension in relations between Somalia and Ethiopia, regional and global events were discussed.
President Erdogan emphasized the importance of cooperation between Turkey and Somalia.
Erdogan said that Turkey will continue its efforts to resolve the tension between Somalia and Ethiopia.
Turkish President expressed the hope that the second round of negotiations, which will be held in Turkey, would bring specific results to establish reconciliation between the two countries.
