Turkey is ready to allocate funds for the construction of a school for children of Turks Akhysk in the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek.
About this, Turkish Ambassador to Bishkek Akhmet Sadyk Dogan said at Iftar (Disagreement – an evening meal of Muslims during the Islamic month of Ramazan) with the participation of Turks Ahig in the Kyrgyz capital.
The head of the diplomatic mission noted that part of the cost of construction will be covered by the authorities of Turkey. The project will be supported by the Turkish Foreign Ministry, the Turkish Agency for Cooperation and Coordination (TİKA) and the Enlightenment of Turkey, explained Dogan.
Entrepreneurs from among the Ahhysk Turks will take the rest of the expenses, the implementation of the project is scheduled for September, he said.
Iftar was also attended by a member of the Board of Education of the Turkish Education Fund, Professor Nevzat Shimshek, Tİka coordinator in the Bishkoy Osman Stolka, Rector of the Kyrgyz-Turkish University of Manas, Professor Alpaslan Jaylan and representatives of the Assembly of the people of Kyrgyzstan.

The deportation of the Turks Akhysk to Central Asia was carried out by order of Stalin of November 14, 1944.
The descendants of the Turks Ahhysk, exported from their homeland, today continue to live in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Russia, Ukraine, the USA and Turkey. The number of Turks-Ahys in Kyrgyzstan has 42 thousand people.
