Turkman In Kirkuk Announced Unacceptable Non -inclusion In Local Administration

A meeting on the election of the governor and chairman of the Provincial Council of Kirkuk is illegitimate.

This was said at a press conference by the Minister for Ethnic and Religious Education in the Kurdish Regional Administration of Iraq (Territory) Aydin Maruf.

Maruf is also part of the Executive Committee of the Iraqi Turkman Front (ITF).

He called unacceptable the fact that representatives of the Turkman community were not included in the new administration of Kirkuk.

According to Maruf, he expects the inclusion of representatives of all Kirkuk communities in the administration.

He emphasized that the administration in which Turkman is not represented, the Democratic Party of Kurdistan (DPK) and the Arabic community will be inferior.

Having stated that they carefully monitor the events in Kirkuk, Maruf noted that the local administration without the presence of the Turkmen is an incomplete administration.

Speaking about the election to the parliament of the region, Maruf said that in addition to the quota, Turkman will participate in the vote on the list of the Iraqi Turkman Front.

Minister of Marufe called on making changes to the law on the election of the region after voting, increasing the number of representative rights for each ethnic group from 5 to 15.
