Turkmenistan plans to hold military-tactical exercises in the near future.
The topic of preparation for the exercises was raised at a meeting of the State Security Council of the Republic, which was held by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the Turkmenistan news agency reports.
On preparation for the upcoming exercises, the Secretary of the Council of People’s Commissars, Minister of Defense Begench Gundogdyev reported.
Having heard a report, the head of state noted the commitment of Turkmenistan exclusively a defensive military doctrine. “It is necessary to properly prepare for the upcoming exercises,” the head of state entrusted, focusing on the importance of organizing the activities of all structures of the National Army in the light of the requirements of the time.
“At the same time, first of all, you need to pay attention to the further study and implementation of advanced world experience in the military sphere,” the president said.
