The President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov announced his readiness to cooperate with the new Afghan government and assist to normalize the situation in the country, reports TASS.
“We are closely following the development of the situation and the latest events in Afghanistan and express hope that the transit of power in the country will be carried out peacefully on the basis of a wide nationwide dialogue. For our part, I want to emphasize that we are ready to work closely with the new government. Afghanistan for the further strengthening of traditionally fraternal Turkmen-Afghan relations “- he said.
Berdimuhamedov also stressed that Turkmenistan, relying on his “positive neutral status”, leads “exclusively peaceful foreign policy and does not interfere in the internal affairs of foreign states.”
