The Azerbaijan-Turkmen Memorandum of Understanding on the Dostlug field was ratified today by the Mejlis of Turkmenistan.
The corresponding resolution “On the ratification of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan on joint exploration, development and development of hydrocarbon resources of the Dostluk field in the Caspian Sea” was adopted at a special meeting of the Turkmen parliament, Turkmenportal writes.
Recall that the Memorandum resolving disputes over the field was signed on January 21, 2021. Then it received the general name “Dostlug”, which means “Friendship”. The reserves of the field are estimated at 50 million tons of oil.
