He noted that in the trade and economic ties of Turkey and Syria, a new era is “coming.”
According to Odachoreki, the process of integration between Turkey and Syria began after the anti -terrorist operations of the Turkish Army “Olive Branch” and “Euphrates Shield”, and during the new period the volume of trade between the two countries began to increase rapidly.
“Turkey has become a natural partner of Syria thanks to its steps in the region. A group of Syrians has formed, which can speak Turkish, and this is a very important advantage in trade. According to the interlocutor of the agency, the volume of bilateral trade, which until 2011 amounted to about 250-300 million dollars, increased to $ 2.5 billion by 2024.
The head of the Council emphasized that Turkish companies will play a key role in the process of restoring Syria. “Turkey is a natural partner in the process of restoring Syria. Logistic proximity to Syria through cities such as Kilis, Gaziantep, Hatai and Mardin, provides Turkey with a great advantage. Thanks to the high production potential of its industry, Turkey is the closest source for satisfying the needs of Syria as part of the restoration process. , In this regard, both Turkey and Syria attach great importance to trade cooperation, ”he said.
Ozzyoreki pointed out that the opening of the Turkish Embassy in Damascus is an extremely significant step. He added that the opening of the Turkish consulate in Aleppo in the near future will be an important guarantee for Turkish entrepreneurs engaged in activities in Syria.
