Iran announced the arrest of two British citizens on charges of espionage.
The press secretary of the Jrana, Asgar Jahangir, said that two British citizens in January were arrested by the reconnaissance forces of the Revolution Guardians on charges of espionage in the province of Kirman.
Jahangir in particular said: “The arrested people entered Iran under the guise of tourists and collected information in many provinces of the country under the guise of research. These people collaborated with secret organizations related to the special services of Western countries.”
The head of the judiciary, Kirman Ibrahim Hamidi, also made a statement on this subject: “According to the conclusions of special services and security agencies, these persons were related to various institutions related to a foreign intelligence organization. In this connection, additional investigations were conducted.”
