Two Israeli airlines start flying to Baku

The National Airline of Azerbaijan (AZAL) received the necessary permission from the operational headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan to exercise by Israeli airlines Arkia Airlines and Israir Airlines airline in the direction of Tel Aviv – Baku – Tel Aviv.

According to HaqQin.Az, the press service of the airline, from August 15, Arkia Airlines received the necessary permission to fly from Tel Aviv to Heydar Aliyev International Airport and twice a week – on Thursdays and Sundays.

Along the same route from August 15, permission is provided for flights weekly on Mondays and Fridays for Israir Airlines airline. From August 18, another additional flight will be added to the flight schedule – on Wednesdays.

In addition, Azal also twice a week – on Thursdays and Sundays – performs special flights along the route Tel Aviv – Baku – Tel Aviv.

According to the decision of the Operational Staff under the Cabinet of Ministers, the citizens of Israel can travel to Azerbaijan provided:

– granting a certificate about the passage of the total vaccination (cowid passport), or a certificate of recovery from the disease;

– certificates about the negative result of PCR testing to coronavirus, decorated in 72 hours before flight departure.

Israel’s citizens under 18 at the entrance to Azerbaijan by air can only provide a certificate of the negative result of PCR test. For children under one year, certificates and certificates are required.

When flying from Tel Aviv to Baku, testing on COVID-19 can be held in any accredited state clinic or laboratory. The certificate of the negative result of the PCR test is desired by the presence of a QR code confirming its authenticity. This will help speed up the passage of formal procedures at the airport.

Passengers of this route should be verified that the test result on COVID-19 is valid within 72 hours before flight departure.
