Two Russians “fled from Russian army” by boat for Alaska

In Alaska, two men from Russia were detained, who sailed more than 400 km in a small boat from the village of Egvezinot on Chukotka to the American island of St. Lawrence, Alaska News Service reports.

On October 4, they landed near the village of Gambell. “These two people who arrived from Russia by boat and were detained in Gambella, as I understand it, are now in Anchorida, and they are engaged in federal authorities. We do not expect a constant flow of people from [Russia] or flotilla of boats … This may be a single Case, ”said Mike Dunlivi Governor. Now they have already been transported to Anchorida.

In a conversation with local residents, the men who sailed on a boat explained that they were “running away from the Russian army,” the newspaper writes. The US Department of Internal Security understands the situation.

According to the publication, for the sake of exporting Russians, the US coast guard sent a plane with customs officers and border guards to the island of St. Lawrence. Citizens were taken out of Gambella, they were taken into custody by the US Customs and Border Service.
