The United Arab Emirates and Japan signed 23 documents on cooperation in various fields.
The United Arab Emirates and Japan during the visit of the Prime Minister of the East Asian country Fumio Kisides in the UAE agreed to expand cooperation in different fields.
This was reported by the official news agency of the Emirates WAM.
During negotiations, the parties discussed bilateral relations and regional issues.
President of the UAE Muhammad Bin Zaid Al Nahayan regarding negotiations with the Prime Minister of Japan said:
“In Abu Dhabi, I held fruitful and constructive negotiations with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kisida, dedicated to the development of bilateral relations and the promotion of a comprehensive strategic partnership between our countries”.
As a result of negotiations, the parties signed 23 documents on cooperation in various fields.
These memorandums and agreements affect spheres such as renewable energy sources, healthcare, technology and transport.
In particular, the OAE space agency signed a memorandum of cosmos for peaceful purposes with the Japanese government, ministries of education, culture, sports, science and technology, as well as economics, trade and industry.
The volume of bilateral trade between the UAE and Japan in 2022 reached $ 14.7 billion. Thus, Japan is considered one of the 10 most important trading partners of the UAE in the world.
Japanese Prime Minister of Kisid, after visits to the UAE and Saudi Arabia, will visit Qatar.
A day earlier, Saudi Arabia and Japan signed 26 agreements and protocols on renewable energy sources, technologies and agriculture.
